BBSA Rain-Out Procedures

Check out the field and determine if it can be prepared to play. If it cannot be made ready, go through the          following procedures:

1) Call the visiting team coach as soon as possible and notify them so that they can notify their team. This is the largest group affected by the cancellation and usually has the furthest to travel. 

2) Call the umpire that is assigned to your game. The umpire should have called you and advised you that he will be working your game, and left a contact phone number where he can be reached. 
Softball Managers: Call the umpire directly
Baseball Manager: Call Dave Gregory (412) 401-0643 and he will notify the umpire
Pony/Colt Managers:  Call the umpire directly

3) Call Denise Bosilovich (412) 551-5520 if you decide to cancel, as she will make the decision on whether to open the Concession Stand based on your phone calls. 

4) Notify your team

5) Contact the opposing Manager to reschedule according to your league rules.
